In unity, copy FBX model to ur project asset folder. Now ur FBX model is ready to import into unity. from here check on embed media (check animation too if ur model is animated), then export selection. Go to file -> Export selection (make sure u already select the object that u want to export into fbx) if u can’t export to fbx, tick fbxmaya in the plugin windows. Then u need to export ur model to FBX format. BOOM u get ur texture baked to the object. then go to Rendering in Main Menu Bar (or u can hit F6) From Lighting and Shading, choose Batch Bake (mental ray) option, )the box on the right of the text)Ĭhoose selected in object to bake, bake it to texture and uncheck all the tickbox (make sure u already select the object that u want to bake). make sure color mode in Light and color, X Y resolution to ur prefered needs, (i make it same with my texture uv resolution) file format i choose jpg (personal preference for low size. Hold right click at your object go to baking and choose assign new bake set -> texture bake set, there will be bunch of option. Make sure ur object already textured and uv mapped and have good lighting, freeze transformation, and delete non deformer historyįirst, in maya, make sure u bake ur texture (light and color) this is how i do it briefly: Finally, i made this export from maya to unity with the texture, although it still need little bit of trick -_.
